There is no denying that we are now facing a homelessness crisis in America. Based on worldpopulationreview.com, there are more than half a million homeless people in the United States. Some of these people sleep in abandoned buildings, temporary shelters, or transitional housing. Lack of affordable housing, unemployment, poverty, and low wages are the four main causes of homelessness. And that currently, California has the highest number of homeless people, with about 151,278. About one-fifth of the homeless population in the United States are in this category. Several factors contribute to this figure, including the lack of affordable and adequate housing opportunities, current drug laws, and the lack of access to mental health services.

As I discussed in today's episode, health issues, unemployment, and lack of affordable housing are the causes of the Homelessness Crisis.

In our episode today, we will discuss the reason for the lack of affordable houses. The people who are affected by this reason are working poor. These are people that have jobs but do not earn enough to pay for the rent for a decent house to live in. There are families that are spending the majority of their earnings paying for rent. There are families who live in cars to provide education for their children.

Government should not put the burden on developers trying to meet the needs of the public the government creates policies that minimize development and then the government seeks to pick up the slack for the problem they have cost.
