Steps To Buying a Home:
1. Gather your Docs and Get Pre Approved
-Two years of tax returns
-W-2's/Paystubs from your job
2. Locate your Down Payment Funds
-Are you getting a large gift from someone for your down payment?
Identify this so that your lender knows where your funds are coming from!
3. Begin the House Hunt
-Talk to your agent about your wants and your needs in a home
-Where do you want to live?
-How much of a home do you need?
4. Negotiate an offer and Contingencies
-Work with your agent to decide on a good purchase price to offer and negotiate the terms with the seller to get under contract!
5. Order a home inspection
-Always order a home inspection to make sure that there are no huge red flags with your potential home! Your agent can help you navigate the negotiations on repairs and let you know what is worth cancelling over!
6. Close on your home, Get the Keys and MOVE IN!
-Make sure you have a good home insurance binding..
-Make sure to file for Homestead Exemption for Taxes..
-Try your best to get a Home Warranty from the Seller..
