Our show is broken into eight segments. Here’s a breakdown of what goes down in today’s show! (Tip: you can easily move between segments using the chapter feature in your podcast app!)
The crew this morning: Zach, Connor, and Sandee in studio, Will Hampson joining remotely.
Segment 1: We open the show with our usual banter. We welcome Sandee back and riff on how much better the show is with her around. Zach and Will also talk about their fantasy football performance over the weekend.
Segment 2: We talk about Bette Midler encouraging Joe Biden to kick the president where the sun doesn’t shine, and we get ready for tomorrow’s first presidential debate — assuming it actually happens.
Segment 3: We take a call from Mark on the Presidential Debate, we discuss a break-in to Joe Montana’s house, we discuss transgender prisoners being allowed to get locked up with the gender they identify with, and the outcome of recent protests for those involved.
Segment 4: We explore why young people are drawn to the protests and overall social justice movement we’re seeing now. How much of all of this is just performative?
Segment 5: We take a look at the New York Times’s report on the President’s taxes and Joe Biden’s claim that he attended an HBCU (which he did not).
Segment 6: We return to an earlier story about California’s new rules on transgender inmates.
Segment 7: We launch a giveaway and ponder ideas for future ones! Bearded Bonanza is in motion! We also examine Cory Booker’s argument that SCOTUS nominee Amy Coney Barrett should recuse herself from any case pertaining to the presidential election.
Segment 8: As we wrap up the show, we talk about college football, how difficult it is to use some Google services, how much we use FaceTime, and how old Sandee thought Zach was (she overshot it).
