Our show is broken into eight segments. Here’s a breakdown of what goes down in today’s show! (Tip: you can easily move between segments using the chapter feature in your podcast app!)
The crew this morning: Zach, Connor, Sandee, and Boomer in-house; Will Hampson joining remotely.
Segment 1: We open the show with our usual banter. Zach and Boomer had Waffle House this morning, the show audio is totally wacko on our end, and Boomer has an odd quirk in his speech patterns.
Segment 2: Zach talks about his softball games, we discuss the President’s departure from the hospital, and Will gives us the run-down of the presidential polls as we near the election.
Segment 3: Zach commends VICE for their unbiased panel discussion he watched and teases his upcoming fashion show appearance.
Segment 4: We look at a comment by Joe Biden about how black women were keeping the shelves stocked during the pandemic, and we take a call from Eric on the subject. That leads us into a conversation about consistency in beliefs — and the general lack thereof in most aspects of politics.
Segment 5: We revisit yesterday’s conversation about whether overall deaths are higher for 2020 versus years prior, then we take a call from Fish on Biden’s “200 million deaths” flub.
Segment 6: We talk about New York’s threat to shut down synagogues if the Orthodox Jewish community doesn’t comply with coronavirus restrictions. We then transition into the “jersey-fication” of faith — it’s an interesting conversation that will make sense once you listen to it.
Segment 7: We talk about the disturbing indifference toward truth in TV news and social media.
Segment 8: We wrap up the show by taking a lighthearted look at the quirks of Facebook Live and parents who take kids' sports too seriously.
