Pentecost Sunday has finally arrived in 2025. The record of the giving of the Spirit on that day, almost 2000 years ago, is only four verses long. But the connections are many and the history of the Old Covenant echoes through them all. Why was the Spirit given on Pentecost? Why was there fire and wind and tongues?
