Some approaches to sin -- even within Christian churches today -- minimize the seriousness of sin by ignoring or distorting the authority of Scripture. Other Christian leaders err by overstating the danger of sin, by implying that if we commit certain sins, or are defeated by some sin, this shows we aren't really Christians. Danny and Phil show that neither option is biblical: Sin is serious, but while it can lead to death, eternal salvation is not dependent on us not sinning, but on faith in the sinless One, Jesus Christ.
