Today in 2015 society postures homosexuality as simply an "alternative lifestyle". Does God love homosexuals? Why is there such debate and division within churches over the issue of homosexuality? Why do some Christians have a problem with these things?

Verses in the Old Testament prohibit "lying with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination". Today too some interpreters uphold that understanding of these passages, while other interpreters maintain that they do not condemn homosexuality, saying that historical context suggests other interpretations or that rare or unusual words in the passages may not be referring to homosexuality.
