With metals prices rallying we could see a resources-driven rally in stocks today. Gold, silver, palladium and platinum all surged overnight, with local goldminers making stellar gains yesterday. Gold looks like it's about to hit a new record. But it was one of Hong Kong's most valuable stocks, Alibaba, with its best one-day rise in years, that took focus.
