After looking at the internal qualities needed for a church to live in unity, Peter continues the letter with instructions on suffering. Suffering isn't meaningless. God can use it for not only our good but also for the spread of the gospel. Peter calls all believers to look to Jesus as our example of living in a God-honoring way while suffering.
