Legislation that was recently signed into law by the governor created the state's first-ever Medal of Honor for first responders. State Reps. Jim Lucas (R-Seymour) and Michelle Davis (R-Whiteland) said the award will recognize firefighters, emergency medical responders, law enforcement and others for their bravery.
