Moving on from the 7th to the 8th commandment - "thou shalt not steal." Moses moves through a wide range of case laws devoted to theft, property, possessions and the valuing of what belongs to another as we have each and every one been called to be good stewards of the stuff that the Lord has given unto us. This begins with being grateful for what we have, and treating with an open and generous hand the needs of others. For let us remember that the heart of all the law is to exalt Christ and promote righteousness and life in the life of your brothers and sisters in the congregation, not only in the Lord's House but in the houses that He has given for us to be stewards over.
