Roots Charter High School is an alternative school designed to help at-risk youth graduate and provide extra support they wouldn’t normally see at a traditional high school. Lots of kids rely on the school as a safe place from home life, but with the pandemic, students and teachers have had to adapt. Laura Jacobson, Youth Advocate, and Night Teacher shares her experience. Senior Richelle Montoya also shares what it's like to graduate when she never expected to hit this milestone.
