On the Nyrouz, the Coptic New Year we gather to honor the martyrs of our Coptic Orthodox Church. From the earliest centuries until now, the blood of the Martyrs shed for their faith in Christ has become the seed of the Church. As we honor them, we do not merely remember their suffering, we celebrate their triumph. Their crowns of glory are a testimony that nothing, not even death, can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
