A dairy distribution depot in Plattsburgh is closing. It’s operated by Hood. The Boston-based company dates back to 1846, according to its website. Hood’s milk, sour cream and cottage cheese are familiar products in dairy cases throughout the Northeast.

Now dozens of grocers in the North Country have to decide how they’ll stock their shelves.
