This is the first episode where Chris Pike is joined by Cody Ellis as co-host with the grandson and son of WA basketball royalty, and former Saint Louis Billikens, Sydney Kings and Illawarra Hawks star, and currently Warwick Senators NBL1 West captain to help dissect the world of the NBL.

First up we discuss whether or not Cody is still hopeful his NBL career might not be over for good at 127 games, if he is ready should a club come calling, if he's disappointed that he's not still in the league and how that all sits with him.

It's then time to get to all the big talking points from #NBL22 including Matt Hodgson's brain snap for the Perth Wildcats against the Sydney Kings, the impressive form of the Kings, Dusty Hannahs' helping Adelaide 36ers upset Melbourne United, losses for Melbourne and Perth, and Josh Magette sparking the Tasmania JackJumpers.

We then dig a bit deeper on the Round 9 NBL results talking about Jo Lual-Acuil's impact for Melbourne United, the South East Melbourne Phoenix building and then we announce our winner of #TheGalen Best Team Man and provide the votes in #TheRedhage Player of the Year.

We then have a deep dive into the life and basketball career of Cody Ellis. We discuss current life after the NBL, feelings for the Perth Wildcats and not getting the chance to follow his dad and uncles playing there, his career at the Sydney Kings and Illawarra Hawks, and the rocky road that was. We then discuss his time at Saint Louis, meeting his now wife Lauren and their son Chase, and his passion for the Warwick Senators.

It's then time to get Cody's thoughts on the Perth Wildcats 40th anniversary team that we discussed on last week's show with Damian Martin and Shawn Redhage. It's then time to preview the Round 10 action and then wrap up a jam packed show.
