"Hope"

Listen Later

Hey Friends and Family of TCC! Welcome to our Celebration of Hope! Easter contains the greatest truth we could ever know. Jesus Christ was raised from the dead. We’re here to consider the hope we can have if we’re willing to embrace His resurrection with our hearts and minds. We realize that we have many people who come to church only on occasions like Easter, and we want to let you know that we’re here every week and would love to have you join us any time you can. So, we invite you to be open to what God might want to say to you through this service and experience why Easter is such a big deal for those who follow Jesus. We’re going to get to see some people be baptized in all of our weekend services. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward commitment to follow Jesus. It’s a declaration of faith as a person says “YES!” to Jesus’ offer of forgiveness, cleansing and purpose. Every person who gets baptized today realizes that this act represents their desire to let Jesus take over their hearts, minds and souls. It’s a celebration of transformation.Today as we focus on the resurrection, we’re going to consider three of the phrases Jesus spoke immediately after His resurrection. It’s our prayer that these words of Jesus combined with all we do will be a positive step in your understanding of why it’s so important that Jesus rose from the dead.I’ve selected several books that will help give more context to today’s message. You can check them out in the Pastor’s Picks section of our Next Step Bookstore. You can also pick up some Lanna Coffee. All sales go to help the Northern Hill Tribes of Thailand and support our Student Ministries Scholarship Fund.Living with hope that lives,Pastor Ron
