What is in a name? ‘That which we call a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet.’ Juliet. William Shakespeare used this line in his play, Romeo and Juliet, to convey how a name is irrelevant. Shakespeare suggested love remains love no matter the name. I would both agree and differ with Shakespeare. At times a name is simply an attempt to describe someone or something. However, I would disagree that names have no significance or importance. Over the next four weeks, we will be exploring four Hope-filled names from Isaiah 9:6: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace!
