Rev. Dr. Matthew Williams preaches on finding hope in the wilderness: "The wilderness is different for everyone. But the heart and gut feelings are the same. Estranged families and broken relationships are wilderness areas. Those who struggle with dependency and their families wander in the wilderness. Those who are victims to gun violence, who lack affordable housing, and who are victims to exploitation seem to perpetually dwell in the wilderness. The wilderness is different for everyone but we all experience it. Jesus was tempted while he fasted and prayed in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights. Each time he was tempted by the devil, he responded with the words of God. We, too, respond with the words of God. Herein lies our hope."
