Today is the first Sunday in Advent, a day we HOPE for the future with eyes on the past. Preparing for Christmas by remembering past Christmases, old decorations, traditions, and songs. God prepares people for the birth of His One and only Son by sending John the prophet to prepare the way. Advent is the season the church looks back at Jesus coming and looks forward to Him coming again.
