Today for our Gospel lesson we have the beginning of John, where we hear of how “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” As we begin this new year, may it be one for you that is filled with hope – hope not only for good things in this coming year, but hope that brings you light in the darkness, and sustains you until the kingdom of God comes in all its fullness, and our healing and joy are complete.
