Christmas can be thrilling. Candlelight services, unwrapping gifts, seeing old friends, celebrating with distant relatives. But by the time we reach January, the adrenaline rush of the holiday season wears off and we settle in for a dark, cold stretch of New England winter. It’s easy to live with hope leading up until Christmas, but how can we do so afterwards? Is it possible to live a life of hope in our daily, all-too-ordinary feeling lives?
