Welcome to Episode 4 of Season 2 Hopeful State of Mind with Branden Harvey
My friend Branden Harvey and I met a few years ago while working to promote our Refutees project.
Coming up a small-town boy with some big dreams and ambitions, he wanted to move to the not so big city called Portland! He wanted to bring his passion for photography to serve the greater community.
The urge to help others came from a mentor in that small town, which seeded a love to help others through photography and storytelling.
Branden finally came to the city, and through adventure, hustle, and that growing urge, he began his journey to manifest his dreams. That wasn't as easy as he thought it was, meeting resistance at every corner. From parents to naysayers to starting a physical newspaper in a "dieing" market.
Branden started a newspaper called GOOD GOOD GOOD. It's literally that good. You have to say it three times!
Branden came up with a solution for our daily consumption of never-ending "bad news," whether it's social media, tv news, billboards. It seems wherever we look, bad news wants to tell you something.
Branden's approach to sharing GOOD news is refreshing, smooth, clean, and easy to follow. But, it's not just sharing good news; it's "telling stories of the good in the world."
If you’re looking for a way to feel more hopeful and do more good without completely tuning out or burning out… you’ve come to the right place. Check out our conversation about how this all began and learn how Branden used Resilience to create hopeful content for our world!
