Hopin, a London, UK-based remote live online events company, raised £5m ($6.5M) in seed funding.

In conjunction with the funding, Luciana Lixandru, who led the investment for Accel, will be joining the board.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to build out its platform, expand its team and quickly scale.

Led by Founder and CEO Johnny Boufarhat, Hopin is an online venue where organizers can create, host and manage live events for up to 100,000 attendees.
