Horror Movie Podcast BONUS Ep. 193: Contagion Horror – LIVE!

Practicing social distancing? Great time to shelter with Episode 193 of HORROR MOVIE PODCAST. In this BONUS episode, your horror hosts—Dr. Shock, Wolfman Josh, and Gillman Joel—bring you a discussion of Contagion horror films, aided by Dave’s research and Vulture’s The 79 Best Pandemic Movies to Binge in Quarantine by Jordan Crucchiola and Bilge Ebiri. Wolfman also gives you a rundown of “Shut In Movies” for our Shudder-Sponsored Screaming Online segment and recommends the first movie that he watched in lockdown, Escape From New York.

This show was our second test-run for something we hope to be doing once a month. We recorded the show “LIVE!” meaning no redos, retakes, or do-overs. Just one take and the conversation will take us where it takes us. This episode was also intended to be our first video episode, posted to YouTube, but we had some technical difficulties on that front, which is why this episode is posting after 194. Our first official “Lost Episode” of Horror Movie Podcast, the video for Ep 193 will eventually be posted as originally intended and we will let everyone know.

Once we work out the bugs, we hope to consistently record the show on a platform like Discord or Twitch so that we can interact with those who would like to, during the show. Then, the first half of the show will go up on YouTube. We’re excited about this new approach to our Frankensteinian shows, but don’t worry. The show will still post to iTunes’ Apple Podcasts (or your favorite podcatching software) as usual. You won’t have to do anything different to listen to the show you know and love.
