Episode 196 of HORROR MOVIE PODCAST was initially intended to be a run-of-the-mill Frankensteinian episode, but then the real life horrors or racism came crashing in and plans had to change. Wolfman Josh, Dr. Shock, and Gillman Joel are still posting our original reviews of Color Out of Space (2020), Extra Ordinary (2020), Gretel & Hansel (2020), and VFW (2020), to give you some relief from the everyday difficulties our world is facing—plus some discussion of the FX series What We Do in the Shadows (2019) and made-for-TV horror anthology Dead of Night (1977)—but we’ve also invited some very special guests from the horror community to talk about their experiences as black Americans in the wake of George Floyd’s murder and the ensuing Black Lives Matter protests against police violence. We hope you’ll receive these guests warmly and follow their work to show your support and appreciation. Our guests for this episode (in order of appearance) are:
