In week 1 of our Hosea series Lee Woodmansee gives everyone a brief overview of Jewish History leading up to Hosea's present time. During that conversation Lee addresses the exploits of Jehu in the Valley of Jezreel and his act of defenestration.

From there Lee talks about what lies behind the names of all of the characters in Hosea 1. Finally a closer examination of where we should find ourselves in the narrative of Hosea 1 is discussed.
