With 20+ years in the healthcare industry, Katie has held several positions in the senior care field including Resident Social Service Coordinator for dual-diagnosis seniors, property manager in low-income senior housing, Marketing Director in skilled home health care, assisted in opening an inpatient psychiatric hospital, business development manager for a growing area hospice, business development director for a 501(c)3 Senior Service Agency, and Director of Sales and Marketing for a Catholic continuing care retirement community.
As a believer in the importance of volunteerism, Katie has served in several volunteer leadership positions including Board Member for AgeGuide, President of the Senior Service Coalition of Lake County, Nominating Chair of Continuity of Care - Lake McHenry Chapter, founding member of the Coalition for Aging Resources & Education, Corporate Sponsorship Chair for the Lake County Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Vice President of the Lake County Behavioral Health Alliance, President of Continuity of Care – Lake McHenry Chapter, and Vice President of Continuity of Care - State Board. She has also served on several professional advisory committees for both hospice and not-for-profit home health agencies.
