Cole goes to get lunch with his friend Lily, who works at the hospital and whose voice he heard in the recording with Cass. He wants to see what she knows about the strange things going on around town and about Cass in particular. When she presses him about why he is being so cryptic, he invites her to join him at the theater because some things are easier to show than to explain.
