Episode 9: One of our greatest desires as Christian parents is that our children will grow up to love Jesus with all their heart, mind, and strength.  But there is no guarantee that they will.  Each child has been honored by God to be able to choose or deny him.   Yet as parents, we play the most significant human role in our child's life in influencing them to pursue their own relationship with the Lord.  This is a heavy responsibility!  Christian parents tend to either force Christianity on their children by mandatory bible reading or forced devotional time or we tend to go the opposite direction and separate our faith from our day to day life at home and hope that church, youth group, or other Christian friends will be enough to get our kids to be radical lovers of Jesus.  We believe both these extremes are unhelpful. This week we are going to talk about creating an atmosphere of prayer and worship in our home where we can invite our children to participate with us as we devote time and space in our life to pray and worship.

(2 Sa 6:11)  So the ark of Yahweh remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and Yahweh blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.
