Hold on to your sarcophagi, he fourth installment in The Mummy franchise is officially filming and I HAVE THOUGHTS!

In this episode of Hot Mess Hot Takes, I'll be discussing the beloved franchise, what makes them work (looking at you, international treasure Brendan Fraser) what we know about the upcoming film, as well as wild theories regarding its plot. The Love Hypothesis has officially made the jump from BookTok phenomenon to movie adaptation and I have thoughts.

In this episode of Hot Mess, Hot Takes, I’m breaking down The Love Hypothesis film: what worked, what didn’t, the changes from Ali Hazelwood’s bestselling novel, and whether the movie managed to capture the awkward, nerdy, slow-burn charm that made so many readers fall in love with the book in the first place.

We’re talking casting, favorite moments, adaptation choices, romance tropes, and—because this is me—probably overthinking things that absolutely did not need to be overthought.

Hi, I'm Jen Katz and I have thoughts.

Welcome Hot Mess Hot Takes, my new podcast where I give my hot takes on pretty much everything from pop culture, to movies, shows, fandom, books, and anything in between.

Sometimes I'll going deep with thoughtful analyses of my favorite properties and other times, we’re just chatting about whatever pop-culture I’m excited about that week.

There will be opinions. There will be tangents. There will be hot takes.
