In this premiere episode, Mike Fiscella of the ground breaking independent group Hotel Ugly talks how his early influences like Drake  and Meek Mill inspired him to start making his own beats in FL Studio.

Not long after, Mike and his brother Chris discovered the  Hotel Ugly sound.  This can be described as classic drums, soulful chords mixed with infectious hooks.  This formula led to their first hit 'Shut Up My Mom's Calling'  and thanks to the Tik Tok algorithm's, this song entered the Billboard Hot 100 in January of 2023.  

In this interview Mike also shares music production tips that aspiring music creators can add to their creative process.
