It is easy to say we need both anointing and character in life. However, the record of many anointed men and women, contradicts the thought of this being an easy-feet.

There have been so many inconsistencies about spirituality in many professed Christians of our day. On one hand, you meet those who claim they are spiritual but there is no evidence of their devotion to Christ. And on the other hand, there are those whose spirituality seem to be based on their eloquence with bible quotations and praying, and translation of Hebrew and Greek words, etc.

D.L. Moody ones said, " A man out to live so that everybody knows he is a Christian, and most of all, his family ought to know." I believe is this one of the bedrocks of our Christian journey and neglect of this principle has led to some of the many inconsistencies we see with Christians of today.

Character is the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual, while Anointing is said to be the impartation of God’s ability into our lives to do His work. When one of these is pursued at the expense of the other, there is a false-balance, which bible says, "it's an abomination to God."
