2024 Nov Lazy Dogz Sunday Afternoon at Minh (Pt.2 Warm Embrace)

Eclectic, Soulful Deep House, with some Afro house and Progressive Soulful House mashups.

Live feedback was very, very warm. One comment was felt like "a warm and long embrace" (hence the title). It turned out to be very current, with 15 tracks released in 2024. Some are new remixes of favourties of ours though.

There is an Easter egg in the title referring to Ben Watt (from EBTG fame) DJ sessions in another decade at the West London Notting Hill Arts Club on Sunday PM to late to eventually move to The End in central London. We were there, best vibe ever! We tried to recreate it at Minh on Sunday afternoon.

We are going to highlight our two mashups first. They are far from perfect but one dropped live and the other illustrates what we have always tried to bring a bit of soulful into Trance tracks.

“Waves Without You (Extended Mix) [Qtπ Live Lil’ Mash]”. We love T. Markakis Afro track and Hayla is an amazing vocalist. It was dropped live and to our surprise there were faint vocals through the track. We had to improvise…

T. Markakis aka Takos Markakis, born in Greece lives in Munich and produces anunique blend of soulful, jazzy and deep house with always some Agean feel to it.

“The Oracle of Hallelujah (Original Mix) [Qtπ Live Bite of Candi Mash]”. Definitively not live, Qtπ definitiely worked on this one, not perfect but we love soooo much blending Trance and Soulful House. We hope it is passable.

Finally, we love the deep dark feel of “Missing You (Original Mix)”. Lebanese DJ/Producer Moe Turk doing what few remixers can achieve, bringing a new flavour to an anthem.

2024 Aug Summer Crate Diggin’ Pt.2 (Sweet, Sour, Sexy & Fun)

 
(originally dropped in August)

Ranging from Sexy, harder House to Sweet, Disco and fun. 

Very late in the night (or early AM) set with the obligatory last tracks meant to put a smile on your faces when you stumble out of the club, hazy and having to deal with the harsh reality of life and the rising sun in your bloodshot eyes.

Qtπ resurrected the 2000’s Mantronik anthem “How did you know (77 Strings0” as a mashup with BLOND:ISH’s“Call My Name”. Check it out.

And “Starlight” from the Supermen Lovers originally released in 2003, French House at its best. Dropping the 2022 anniversary remix. Check the original video (link below), which as we both remember was dissected as a Nietzsche excerpt by a teddy bear of a friend of ours, as we both were extracting ourselves out of a club early morning with about 2 remaining brain cells active.. Suffice to say we thought his impromptu lecture was brilliant!

We had another Crate Digger house set uploaded and ready to go live but felt like we needed to move away from classic house for a little bit and someone got stuck in Shanghai with not much to do…

Solo set from Qtπ, Progressive and not just chilled, it will take you places. All tracks written by European artists, the true creators in the current Progressive realm.

The title "Progression d’Amour": Qtπ telling you her current journey. TMI possibly, but check every title, and convince yourself that they are curated and not random.

But considering the Proustian weight of the track, please check with what we did of “Ella, Elle l’a”. Originally realesed in 1987, with her partner composer Michel Berger, revampled by Kate Ryan in 2008 and… The vocals where of dubious quality and we shifted everything in tempo and pitch, turned OK but could be improved.
