A liquid asset is cash on hand or an asset that can be readily converted to cash. An asset that can readily be converted into cash is similar to cash itself because the asset can be sold with little impact on its value. Why do we tell you this? Because we want to investigate whether the liquidity of trade assets are a factor in trade fairness.
In this episode we look at picks, which can be moved on at will, or parked for a later draft, are more or less valuable than players during trade negotiations. We also look at whether rule changes to cash exceptions could be the key to equality at the trade table.
