A local MEP is calling for reform in funding allowances for housing across the North West.

Independent Ireland's Ciaran Mullooly is part of a group in Brussels focusing on the housing crisis across the EU.

It comes as reports from both the Dail and the European Parliament on housing strategy are due to be released in recent weeks.
