Students are beginning to use Chat GPT to write their papers.
Candidates are using it to write their resumes.
And of course, marketers are using it to write their social media and blog posts.
Is this a good thing or bad thing?
I don’t see it as either, but rather the inevitable advancement of humans and technology. It’s how we adapt and evolve that matters here.
By automating mundane tasks, we can now focus on more important aspects of our roles, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
And naturally, some jobs that can be automated by AI will be at risk of becoming obsolete, and workers in these industries will need to acquire new skills to remain employable. This is already happening in industries such as manufacturing and transportation,
On the flip side, it is also creating roles and allowing people to do better work, faster, and more efficiently.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Kelley Tenny (An educator and Founder of “Teach Your Brilliance”) and I asked her a ton of questions on all of this. I was impressed! Not only did she discuss the impact on work and education but she also talked about how AI will impact ALL humans, regardless of work or roles.
And yes, I did ask her the burning question: “So what do we do when all students know how to use Chat GPT and they’re using it to write their papers in the matter of minutes?” Her answer…
Ah, just watch/listen for yourself!! But it was a GREAT one!
