As disciples of Jesus Christ, we will all be asked to speak--whether it's to speak up for ourselves or someone else, to speak in favor of or against issues that matter, or to speak, teach and even preach about Jesus & His gospel. Paul's second and third missions, in Acts 16-28, demonstrate his willingness, ability, and the skills he used to speak, teach, and bring souls unto Christ, to defend himself and others, and to further the cause of Christianity in the ancient days. We can learn from Paul as we, too, seek to be witnesses of Jesus Christ, to speak His words, & bring forth His gospel in our modern world. Dr. Christina Hibbert explains how, when, and what to do as we speak up and out in this important episode of Like a Watered Garden (a Come Follow Me- New Testament based mental health and personal growth podcast).
00:00-10:39“QOTW: How do I know when to speak up/out? How do I speak?
10:40-19:28“Advocating for ourselves, others & worthy causes can be uncomfortable”
19:29-28:36“Paul was, & we are, called to teach, preach, speak up and out”
28:37-39:59“Search scriptures daily; teach & preach; ‘We are the offspring of God’”
40:00-50:09“How are you living for, standing up for, witnessing of Christ?”
50:10-END“‘Stand up, Speak up and Shine!’”
