Hey fellow loneliness destroyer, text me!
Generosity...it's an awkward topic to talk about. Everyone has thoughts on it, and I've found it to be incredibly touchy for most of us. And then, to throw another wrench into things is the whole concept of tithing. In today's episode, I speak from my own experience about 3 transformative stories that led me to rethink and completely change my mind about how I saw the topic of generosity, and whether it's something I want to put into practice or not.
In this episode we discuss:
-What it means to tithe, if it is still relevant/important
-Why I've been so skeptical and resistant to the concept and idea of giving/generosity/tithing
-can people and organizations we give to be trusted?
-a crazy moment I witnessed between my brother and a homeless man
-how the book "Circle Maker" by Mark Batterson challenged me in a way I was not prepare for, and more!
