The temptation to isolate in motherhood (COVID or not) rather than call out for help, rearrange life to be a help and seek to bless is one of the greatest struggles for those of us told autonomy is the sign of adulthood. Yes, we need to be able to stand on our own two feet, but the wisdom required to parent well requires community. The actual birthing process could not be a better induction into a season of needing others.
