The word wisdom (Buddhi) comes from Mercury (Buddh), planet Mercury is the Karak of Buddhi, and Planet mercury is the significance of Intelligence. In our shastra this planet is called 'Rajkumar', i.e. it is linked with a kid/child. This is the most important planet in Kalyug.

Planet of intelligence or Mercury is responsible to handle the Prithvi/Earth tattva, which is important to maintain stability and we humans use to focus mainly on stability.
