=== SUMMARY === 🚨🚨🚨
Rich Diviney, 20-year Navy Seal officer and leadership consultant, joins us on this episode of the Making Bank Podcast! Today, Rich discusses the difference between skills and attributes, as well as how and which attributes aid in personal and group success. Â
Â
Growing up, Rich always knew he wanted to go into the Navy. As college approached, he gravitated towards the Navy Seals and was able to endure and excel in the intensive training program. Rich has completed 13 overseas deployments and achieved great levels of leadership and success. Over the years, he has observed which recruits complete Seal training, and which drop out of the program—and it’s not only based on skill. Â
In more recent years, Rich has applied what he’s learned in the Navy to everyday leadership, entrepreneurship, and success. In this episode, he speaks on the difference between skills and attributes, discipline and self-discipline, and how those areas differ. He discusses why certain people will rise to the top, and how the best team for an organization is not always determined by just the most highly skilled. His book, “The Attributes: 25 Hidden Drivers of Optimal Performance” dives into the qualities that make entrepreneurs, or any person, excel.  Â
