Twenty years after it opened, Raley Field is still a source of pride for the Sacramento River Cats, the AAA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. General Manager Chip Maxson joined the Pro AV Podcast to discuss the state of the stadium and how updates (such as the new jumbotron) have kept the fan experience a positive one.

When it came to selecting an LED provider, Maxson said D3 LED was a natural choice given not just its geographical proximity to the stadium but also the caliber of work it has done for the team.

“They often invite me out for a behind-the-scenes look and talk about our future needs, which is fun and exciting,” he said.

The River Cats has used D3 LED for many ballpark improvements over the past 15 years. These include an eight-foot by 120-foot LED board above the outfield wall and a new club space with a giant seamless video wall that often shows multiple games and stats at once. These installations have enhanced what the River Cats can show fans on game day and added flexibility in sponsorship opportunities and corporate events.
