On March 27th President Trump signed into law, the CARES Act. Cares stands for the Corona Virus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act.

This is by far the largest stimulus package ever made law. In shear dollars surpassing anything that has been done in this country before. In fact in more than doubles the stimulus package enacted for the Great Financial Crisis of just 12 years ago.

For most of us this was the event that would send us each $1,200 dollars to help tide us over, until times return to normal. And naturally these individual checks have grabbed most of our attention.
