The Mental Health Research Matters team spoke to Dr Aisling Ann O'Kane and Dr Amid Ayobi from the SPHERE project to find out more about human-computer interactions and mental health.Amid and Aisling are part of a team of 100 researchers from different disciplines working on SPHERE - an EPSRC-funded project where participants use wearable or at-home sensors to monitor physical and mental health problems at home. These sensors can help researchers better understand physical and mental health conditions outside of a lab or hospital setting.Amid and Aisling discuss the importance of interdisciplinary research, researching health problems that serve and involve the communities you're trying to help, and share tips for early-career engineering and physical sciences researchers looking to get involved in mental health.Find out more about SPHERE here:https://www.bristol.ac.uk/engineering/research/digital-health/research/sphere/Find out more about #MentalHealthResearchMatters here: www.mentalhealthresearchmatters.org.uk Hosted on Acast.
