“HOW CAN I DRAW CLOSER TO JESUS?”

James 4:8; John 13:23 (NKJV)

1. WE SEE JOHN “LEANING”

“Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved.” (John 13:23)

- “DESIRE.”

2. WE SEE JOHN “STANDING”

“When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, ‘Woman, behold your son!’” (John 19:26)

- “DEVOTION.”

3. WE SEE JOHN “RUNNING”

“So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first.” (John 20:4)

- “DETERMINATION.”

4. WE SEE JOHN “FOLLOWING”

“Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, ‘Lord, who is the one who betrays You?’” (John 21:20)
