On What’s Your Work Fit we pose this viewer question: How Can Journalism Be My Work Fit?
Previously, Jonathan led the Washington bureau for NJ Advance Media which includes the Newark Star-Ledger and other papers. Prior to that role, he was a Washington-based reporter for Bloomberg and the Associated Press.
Rachel, a rising college senior reached out to pose a career question. She’s long dreamt of becoming a reporter but is concerned that becoming one wouldn’t be a sustainable career move. Plus, her parents worry that she won’t earn enough to live on. She asks and Jonathan answers: how can journalism be my work fit?
Jonathan’s storied career happened as a result of years of hard work, but also by forming trust with elected officials who recognize his commitment to reporting the news with impartiality and fairness.
