For any teacher approaching their first term in the classroom, there is still a lot to learn.

But for this year’s crop of NQTs, who had placements cut short in the wake of widespread school closures, the importance of good CPD and support from more experienced staff will be vital.

Tes recruitment editor, Grainne Hallahan, caught up with Jennifer Webb and Jude Hunton to talk about their experience of early career CPD and learn how their schools have shifted their approach to give staff precisely what they need.

Webb is an assistant principal of teaching, learning and staff development at the Co-op Academy Leeds, while Hunton is the new principal of Skegness Grammar School.
