This week some 'worthless fellows' question if Saul is up to the task of being their king. -How can this man save us-- they ask. And yet, when the time comes, he proves himself more than capable of going before them and fighting the battle for them as they requested of their king. But Saul gives credit where credit is due saying, -Today the Lord has worked salvation in Israel.- That is the only true and appropriate response to the questions of our opponents and to the doubts we might have ourselves. -How can this man save us-- It is the Lord alone who is mighty to save.
