Confusing poverty with neglect, ridden with severe racial bias, and inflicting trauma on thousands of innocent children and families - the current child welfare system is broken. 

This week, Richard Wexler, executive director of the National Coalition for Child Protection Reform, shares his goal with Jim: to stop the child welfare system from inflicting unnecessary trauma on so many children,  reform the system to truly support parents, and ultimately keep more families together.
