Jude affirms that Christians are kept by God (v. 1 & v. 24), but he also affirms we are to "keep ourselves in the love of God" (v. 21). What does this mean? If God preserves us, what is our responsibility to persevere? In this message, we consider the love of God. We see how some passages emphasise the sovereignty of God in bestowing his love and keeping Christians in his love, while other passages stress the Christian's responsibility to remain in his love. We can affirm both when we understand that God uses means to keep us. These means that involve us: building ourselves up in our holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit.
